Lars Jaeger is the new managing director of E.G.E.
Berlin, 6 November 2014 – Messe Berlin has appointed Lars Jaeger (45) as the new managing director of European Green Exhibitions GmbH (E.G.E.). In addition to fulfilling his role as project manager of the International Green Week Berlin Lars Jaeger, a graduate in business administration, will in future be responsible for developing E.G.E. events with Hans-Dieter Lucas, his counterpart as managing director of Deutscher Bauernverlag.
Jaeger takes over from Karel Heijs, director of the Life Sciences Competence Center at Messe Berlin GmbH, who will be adding trade fair projects such as Bazaar Berlin and the organisation of events to his area of responsibility.
E.G.E. was set up in 2010 as a joint venture between Messe Berlin GmbH and Deutscher Bauernverlag. Among the trade fairs and events held by E.G.E. are the exhibition RegioAgrar Bayern and AGRAR Unternehmertage in Münster. Both Paderbau, a construction technology fair, and the event series that includes LebensArt and HOME & GARDEN are organised under the umbrella of E.G.E. Through its subsidiary Messe- und Ausstellungszentrum Mühlengeez GmbH (MAZ) E.G.E. also organises other events. They include the Exhibition for Agriculture and Food, Fisheries, Forestry, Hunting and Horticulture (MeLa) in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.
