Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to visit the International Green Week Berlin on 23 January 2019
On 23 January Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is due to visit the International Green Week Berlin 2019. He will begin his visit at 10.30 a.m. by holding talks with representatives of rural development in the section ’Keen on the Country’ in Hall 4.2 on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Federal Minister of Agriculture Julia Klöckner will accompany him.
At 11 p.m. the president will hold a speech at the opening event of the 12th Future Forum on Rural Development at the CityCube Berlin.
Federal Minister Julia Klöckner, Dr. Brigitte Mohn (Bertelsmannstiftung), Dr. Reiner Klingholz (Berlin Institut für Bevölkerung und Entwicklung) and Dr. Christian Göke, (CEO of Messe Berlin GmbH) will also speak at the opening event of the Future Forum.
Important information on accreditation for the media
In order to take part in the programme of events during the visit of the federal president please observe the following:
In order to be able to access the Berlin Exhibition Grounds you must previously have obtained accreditation for the Green Week 2019. To do so please use our online accreditation tool. We also request that you register separately for the programme of events during the visit of the federal president on 23 January. You will be required to supply further details. Meeting point for the media in Hall 4.2
Accredited media representatives are requested to meet on 23 January at 9.30 a.m. at the stage in Hall 4.2 where identity checks will be carried out (photo ID required) and technical equipment will be checked to ensure it is in working order.
Meeting point for the media at the CityCube Berlin
Following the tour in Hall 4.2 media representatives displaying the requisite passes will be taken by shuttle bus to the CityCube Berlin.
Media representatives due to take part solely in the opening event of the 12th Future Forum are requested to meet on 23 January at 10 a.m. on Level A of the CityCube Berlin in front of Rooms A4 to A6, where identity checks will be carried out (photo ID required) and technical equipment will be checked to ensure it is in working order.
