Information for Food Exhibitors

The following points must be observed when importing and selling food products:

  • Imported food items must be registered by both main and co-exhibitors of Grüne Woche.
  • Construction requirements for sales stands (PDF, 345 kB)
  • Registrations and product labeling must be provided in German.
  • Inspections by the competent authority will take place on all days of the trade fair.

If you have any questions or uncertainties regarding registration, please contact the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf District Office directly. Local authorities offer support in the national language.

Obligations of Exhibitors On-Site

Inspection by the relevant authority

The health department conducts inspections on all days of the trade fair.

  • Prior registration of food businesses and products before the event is mandatory.
  • In many cases, a hygiene concept—especially for unpackaged or open food—must be submitted.
  • Allergens in non-prepackaged goods must be clearly labeled. Please refer to the allergen list (PDF, 180 kB)for details.

Checklist for Food Exhibitors

✔ Hygiene training and IfSG briefing for staff

✔ Written allergen labeling, e.g., laminated or displayed

✔ Refrigeration units with temperature monitoring

✔ Clean equipment such as cloths, utensils, gloves, etc.

✔ Take special booth construction requirements into account, e.g. sneeze guards to prevent contamination

✔ Observe youth protection regulations – if applicable, display a notice
