Back to the 1920s in the Flower Hall (Hall 2.2a)
The journey begins in the floral heart of the fair, the Flower Hall. To mark its 100th anniversary, the hall will be decorated in the style of the 1920s, transporting visitors to the world of Babylon Berlin. A diverse plant world opens up in a unique, historic setting: a real forest invites you to explore, colourful early bloomers add bright accents and the splashing of a large fountain creates a special atmosphere.
The fascination of the ErlebnisBauernhof (Hall 3.2)
The family tour now continues to the ErlebnisBauernhof (adventure farm). Here, visitors of all ages can enjoy an interactive scavenger hunt on the adventure trail. Adventure coins can be collected at various points, which are designed as knowledge stations on the topics of animals, nature, technology and soil. These can then be redeemed at a central rest area for a drink and a collectible cup with an agricultural motif. The AgrarScouts provide insights behind the scenes of their farms. Anyone who would like to take a seat in a tractor will have the chance to do so here. Families can learn how honey is made at the German Beekeepers' Association stand.
Kaufland playfully combines exercise, nutrition and sustainability. For every kilometre cycled, a donation is made to social projects such as school gardens. Visitors can test their knowledge of sustainability on the quiz wheel and win attractive prizes. An interactive greenhouse shows how food is produced: visitors can try their hand at growing vegetables, and raised beds demonstrate how vegetables grow.
Experience animals up close in the animal hall (Hall 25)
Next stop: Hall 25 – where an exciting adventure awaits animal fans of all ages. Here, numerous horses, donkeys, sheep, cattle, goats and herding dogs can be admired at close range. On the first weekend (17–18 January 2026), the police mounted unit will give impressive demonstrations and provide an insight into their work. On the second weekend (22–25 January 2026), Hippologica will set the hearts of horse enthusiasts racing with a varied mix from the world of equestrian sports.
Experience nature at the BMUKN (Hall 27)
On the first weekend, the Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMUKN) invites visitors to creative workshops: printing with leaves, grasses and wild plants creates unique fabrics and shows how inspiring nature can be. Right next door, fascinating birds of prey await curious families – here, everyone can learn about the art of falconry and marvel at these majestic birds. An interactive wildlife quiz and opportunities to touch fur, antlers and feathers round off the exploration of the green living hall.
The cowshed within reach (Hall 20)
Here, schoolchildren can try their hand at milking a life-size cow and feel various objects from the cowshed.
Experience fair food and global connections (Hall 7.2c)
At the Grüne Woche, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development is showing how food security and fairly produced food are possible worldwide. Visitors gain exciting insights into the cocoa supply chain – from harvesting and processing to the finished product. In a 360-degree film, trade fair guests can also experience the connection between nutrition and climate.
