Startup-Days

image

Now for the fourth time in a row, Grüne Woche is hosting the Startup Days.

Young startups from the agtech and food industry will present their business ideas in 2-minute pitches. The program is rounded off by future-oriented talks. Immerse yourself in the world of startups, which are no longer exotic in the green industry and discover one or two innovations.

In 2023, the Startup Days were also made accessible to private visitors and held on the stage of the ErlebnisBauernhof.
The response was enormous and the young entrepreneurs could not only present their products and business ideas to politicians, but also enter into dialogue with farmers, interested parties and end consumers.

You want to watch the talks and pitch rounds again? No problem. Click on the button and you will be taken to the Startup Days 2023 program, where all the contributions are linked once again:

Throwback

Our Startup-Days are an integral part of the Green Week program and we can already look back on some interesting startups that have been part of the Startup Days over the past years.

Due to the pandemic, the Startup-Days for Green Week 2021 only took place in a hybrid format - but were no less well attended.

Take a look at our review and the winners and participants of the past Startup-Days.

Du bist hier der Chef

The initiative "Du bist hier der Chef!" creates transparency in the quality and price of food, supports farmers thanks to fair prices, promotes nature conservation, animal welfare and biodiversity with its products and unites all stakeholders - consumers, farmers, industry and trade - towards a new solidarity-based food production and marketing in Germany. Thanks to a unique participatory co-creation process, consumers decide for themselves what is important to them in food, how it should be produced, and help determine the corresponding fair price.

In 2020, the initiative won the Hessian Founder's Prize in the Social Impact category. Its first product - the democratically-elected consumer milk, which has already been available in selected supermarkets for 2 years - was also awarded the Fairness Prize in 2021.

Nunos

Nunos transfers the C.R.O.P. process developed at DLR from space travel to agriculture: we scale up the natural and microbial soil processes of nitrification in modular plants. Manure and fermentation residues are turned directly into plant-available fertilizers, which save a large part of the previously additional mineral fertilizer applications and help to reduce emissions to the environment to a minimum. Nitrate-polluted waters, expensive and poorly available mineral fertilizers, but also the characteristic slurry smell are a thing of the past! We turn liquid manure into the new "gold"!

Neggst

Neggst is the world's first plant-based egg that tastes and looks like a chicken egg. It consists of vegan egg white, egg yolk and a shell. In addition to its appearance and taste, it is also in no way inferior to a chicken egg in terms of functional diversity - making it suitable for use as a scrambled or fried egg, but also for baking and cooking. The recipe, based on field bean and pea protein, sweet potato and vegetable oil, is enriched with vitamins and has a similar nutritional profile to that of a chicken egg. Only better: fewer calories, no cholesterol, no drug residues and no risk of salmonella. So sustainability, animal welfare and enjoyment go hand in hand.

BettaF!sh

TU-NAH tastes like tuna, looks confusingly like it and is an all-rounder, just like the original from the can. The biggest difference? Based on seaweed and field beans, BettaF!sh TU-NAH is the most delicious vegan tuna alternative on the market - 100% plant-based, rich in protein, free of soy and wheat.
