Ticket recommendation: Day ticket

Our tour begins in Hall 20. From the north entrance, we head straight to Thuringia and Lower Saxony. The latter invites visitors to discover the Lüneburg Heath as a model region for sustainable development. In addition to tourist insights, visitors can expect culinary classics such as a kale menu with fried potatoes, Pinkel sausage and Mettenden sausage, as well as creative reinterpretations such as kale smoothies and vegan menus. Sports fans will also get their money's worth, as the authentic Werder Bremen stadium bratwurst will be grilled here. Lower Saxony's trade fair appearance will be complemented by players from the Lower Saxony organic sector and a varied stage programme. Right next door, Thuringia will present itself as the ‘Green Heart of Germany’ with the motto ‘Thuringia Surprising – 100 Years of Grüne Woche’. In addition to well-known classics such as bratwurst, dumplings and beer, the federal state is showcasing some unusual facets: wild mushrooms as a snack, watercress from Erfurt, quail aspic and slush cocktails made from regional juices. One eye-catching feature is the Hex Experience World with the world's largest broom. Innovative projects such as an electric carriage in the entrance area whet the appetite for Thuringia, as do unusual accommodation offers and numerous event tips. In keeping with the anniversary, visitors can sample the non-alcoholic herbal elixir Böttger's Cero and a finely crafted quail egg liqueur.

We continue to Hall 21a for Brandenburg. Here, tried-and-tested classics such as Spreewald gherkins, Beelitz asparagus and sausage specialities meet creative ideas for the 100th anniversary of the Grüne Woche. Agricultural research, young companies and new exhibitors show how innovative the region is in the Brandenburg Hall. In Hall 21b, Berlin presents itself as a cosmopolitan food metropolis. On the Start-up Island, young companies present their sustainable product ideas, while projects such as ‘Kantine Zukunft’ (Canteen of the Future) show how fresh, regional ingredients can be used in communal catering in schools, daycare centres and care facilities. The presentation is complemented by Berlin's nutrition strategy, which focuses on healthy and sustainable food. Just a few steps away, Saxony, also in Hall 21b, invites visitors on an enjoyable journey of discovery. In addition to coffee, beer and wine, kiwi berry products, from fruit spreads to mulled wine, are sure to find interested buyers quickly. Hearty fare is provided by pasta creations from an AI-supported vending machine. Tourist information from the Free State of Saxony rounds off the trade fair presentation and whets the appetite for a visit to the Saxon regions.

Continue straight ahead to Bavaria in Hall 22b. Here, visitors can experience Bavarian culinary culture with all their senses across more than 2,000 square metres: from Allgäu cheese and Franconian wine to tasty beers and hearty delicacies, calorie counting is definitely not an issue in the Bavaria Hall. In the beer garden of the traditional Entenwirt restaurant, brass band music and traditional costumes create a genuine Oktoberfest atmosphere. Special areas such as ‘Genuss Bayern’ (Bavarian Delights) and ‘Servus Urlaub’ (Hello Holiday) combine culinary diversity with tourist tips from southern Germany.

Next stop: Hall 23b – Saxony-Anhalt. In keeping with the announcement of the Oscar nominations on 22 January 2026, the exhibitors are focusing on big cinema: from handmade soup from the Altmark region to ostrich bratwurst and vegan ice cream with cocoa and linseed paste. Not unusual enough for you? Then finish off with Secconade, egg liqueur and colourful popcorn made in Saxony-Anhalt.

A short detour through the animal hall takes you to Hall 5.2, where Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Schleswig-Holstein, Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine-Westphalia come together to show just how diverse regional cuisine can be. Baden-Württemberg (5.2a) invites visitors on a culinary journey under the motto ‘Enjoyment is a matter of attitude’, from cheese spaetzle and Maultaschen to lentils with spaetzle, Krautschupfnudeln and wines from Baden and Württemberg. Show cooking, music and DJ beats create a lively atmosphere. North Rhine-Westphalia (5.2a) focuses on participation and tasting. Organic oils, hazelnut specialities, classic Aachen sausages and mustard from the Lower Rhine meet cooking shows, Kölsch beer and Rhineland joie de vivre. Right next door, Schleswig-Holstein (5.2a) complements the presentation with fresh Nordic cuisine, fish specialities, potato and cabbage dishes, and tourist highlights from the state between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (5.2b) is a partner of Grüne Woche 2026 and presents itself as a diverse region for enjoyment and tourism. In addition to fish and beer specialities, there will be new products such as nut and seed mixes and a mulled wine bread created especially for the fair.

The last stop takes us to Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate in Hall 6.2. Hesse (6.2a) shows how tradition and modernity go hand in hand. In addition to Äppelwoi, Ahler Worscht and green sauce, modern bowls, regional drinks and daily promotions invite visitors to linger. From the afternoon onwards, the day at the fair comes to a relaxed end with music. Rhineland-Palatinate (6.2a) presents itself as a paradise for wine lovers. In the wine lounge, wines and sparkling wines (including non-alcoholic) from six growing regions can be tasted. Wine royalty, a gold quiz and tourist tips whet the appetite for excursions, wellness and enjoyment between the Moselle, Palatinate and Rheinhessen.

The Grüne Woche app features an interactive hall plan to help you find your way around. It is available from the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
