The Startup Days are an integral part of the International Green Week (IGW), where selected companies from the agri-foodtech sector present their business ideas to a jury of experts.

For the first time, the startups' pitches will take place on the ErlebnisBauernhof stage in Hall 3.2. Visitors to the IGW can thus be directly inspired by the startups and follow the exciting discussion and decision-making processes of the jury live.

In addition to the pitches, there will also be interesting talk rounds on the topics of "Networking", "Work Culture", "Healthy Nutrition' and "Failure".

We received a total of 31 applications for the Startup Days this year.

This is a good sign that the Startup Days have become firmly established at the trade fair and in the industry. We would like to present the 10 startups that made it to the pitch rounds to you

• Artenglück | Species Protection Projects: Procurement of regional nature conservation measures as CSR projects for companies and support for corresponding communication measures
  
  
• Benetofarm | fully automated cricket farm: Automated plug & play technology for modular, CO2-neutral and decentralized cricket farming. Enables farmers to enter the insect wage-earning fattening business without any previous knowledge and to build up a new main pillar of business
  
  
• Bettafish | Plant-based tuna alternative: Plant-based tuna alternative made from algae and field beans processed into convenience products, such as sandwiches, pizza or creams
  
  
• Du bist hier der Chef | Consumer initiative: The initiative lets consumers vote themselves on the quality and price of food and thus designs ideal products for their own customer needs.
  
  
• feelfood | Instant meals: Development, marketing and sale of wholesome and vegan instant meals and breakfast drinks in organic quality.
  
  
• neggst | plant-based egg alternative: The plant-based egg alternative that makes a valuable contribution to sustainable, climate- and animal-friendly nutrition.
  
  
• Nunos | plant-available fertilizer solution: Manure and digestate contain all nutrients relevant for plant growth. With the C.R.O.P. process developed, it is possible to scale up completely natural soil processes in a closed and automated system. Manure and digestate are directly transformed into plant-available fertilizers.
  
  
• seawater cubes | Sustainable breeding of marine fish: Development of a fully automated system for species-appropriate and sustainable rearing of marine fish - the vision: a decentralized fish supply nationally and internationally.
  
  
• Seedalive | Germinability measurement: A rapid germination test for plant seeds as a kit solution. This enables the quality control of seeds to be shortened from an average of 14 days to 4 hours.
  
  
• VetVise | Improving animal health and husbandry: Continuous monitoring and artificial intelligence provide recommended actions that improve animal welfare and farm efficiency.

Our Startup Days will be completed with 4 exciting talk rounds, moderated by Roman Rackwitz. On January 24, you can look forward to the topics 'Fall down - fix your crown - move on!' and 'Healthy nutrition that actually keeps you healthy?!'.

On January 25, you can expect the talks: 'Startups, network!' and 'Work-life balance: all that glitters is gold?' with the following protagonists.
