Grüne Woche is back! Visitors flocked to the halls all day yesterday, tasting green sauce ice cream from Hesse, brizza at the street food market and corn juice from Peru. Visitors were able to find out about the agriculture of tomorrow, the food of the future and sustainable living and working at the EventFarm, the Federal Association of the German Food Industry and in the hall of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture. In the Flower Hall, the hearts of flower enthusiasts beat faster and in Halls 25 and 27, pets and farm animals await the trade fair guests. Welcome to day 2.

The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture can once again be found in Hall 23a at this year's Grüne Woche. In this interview, Federal Minister of Agriculture Cem Özdemir talks about what he is particularly looking forward to Grüne Woche 2024 and what he expects from the Berlin Agriculture Ministers' Conference today.

"There is a need to talk," emphasizes Lea Fliess from the Forum Moderne Landwirtschaft at the opening of the EventFarm. Hall 3.2 offers plenty of opportunity for this. In addition to farmers, machine manufacturers and food initiatives will also be providing answers to pressing questions such as climate protection, animal welfare and biodiversity.

Hungry? Visitors how visit Grüne Woche won't have to be for long. The street food market in Hall 1.2 leaves nothing to be desired. From traditional fried fish in a roll to Korean, Indian or pasta and East African crocodile goulash in peanut sauce, there will be delicacies from all continents quickly to hand.

Get to know, try out, join in - Grüne Woche offers families in particular a wealth of experiences relating to nature, agriculture and animals. The family tour promises exciting experiences and animal encounters for all generations. While farmyard animals are the main attraction in Animal Hall 25, pets can be seen in Hall 27. The tour continues in Hall 3.2, where visitors can find out where our food comes from and how the food industry works.
