Grüne Woche starts into the new week - including the Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt State Days. Exhibitors will delight visitors with regional delicacies, special travel destinations and a varied stage program. In the animal hall, the focus today and tomorrow will be on the Fjord horses: at the FN Federal Stallion Show of Fjord Horses, visitors can admire the beautiful horses with standing manes from the far north. We start day four of Grüne Woche!

Many visitors come to Grüne Woche to try unusual treats. Our testers tried seaweed, ice cream with truffles and ants, spruce tip syrup and yeast dumplings with unusual fillings. Would they recommend it? Watch the video here.

Just six weeks after taking office, the new EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Food, Christophe Hansen, presented his ideas for the future of European agriculture at Grüne Woche. Our colleague Luisa Gerlach interviewed him:

Fir to go, finger lime for tasting, VR glasses for the barn. In Hall 23a, federal offices and research institutes will be presenting their work - and coming up with some great ideas. Topics range from biodiversity and fisheries to AI-supported weed control. The interactive exhibitions make complex research understandable for laypeople.

The organic sector will be presenting itself in Hall 22a of Grüne Woche. Visitors to the fair can talk to producers and sample organic products. The organic ingredients will also be transformed into delicious dishes in cooking shows on stage. Bioland and Naturland will also be providing information about organic farming and wine fans can find out about the benefits of organic viticulture.

A family trip to the countryside in the middle of January? At Grüne Woche, young and old explorers alike can look forward to a varied program focusing on nature, culinary delights and animals.
